Time to give up on Kulak. He ain't a regular NHLer, he belongs on a poor team with no depth, as the depth.

Give Wotherspoon a chance to be the 7th D and let Bartkowski play. He has been fine.

Lazar is a bust. If Treliving wants to go for it we have to get somebody who can contribute. Glass was giving more that Lazar.

I don't get all the hate for Versteeg. He is playing well but doesn't have good line mates. He looked very good with Jagr and looks good when out with Monahan.

They need a stronger threat to play with Johnny and Monahan. Cover Monahan and Johnny has nobody to pass to. Once in a while Ferland can do something but he just isn't a 1st line player.

This team has a long ways to go before they can be taken seriously in the playoffs.

All things considered this was not a bad game. Second on back-to-backs against a very good team with which the Flames have historically struggled. I thought they looked quite good through most of the game, but ran out of gas in the second half of the third. Lack was fine. Solid road game with a disappointing result. Coming home with a 1-1 split and a .500 record after ten games is a solid start.

I am confident in this team.

I think Kulak has looked better than Bartkowski overall in the regular season so far. Significantly better than Bart actually.

Not sure why you rant on Kulak. He has been better than Bartkowski, and he did not give away the puck leading to the goal against, it was somebody else

Still lots of sloppy giveaways too, by Hamonic and Brody especially. This team is just not sharp yet, still.

On the bright side Janko seems to just ooze hockey IQ, I think we have a really good player in the making here. He looked to run out of gas a bit by the second half of the 3rd period but overall pretty decent game.

Broken record I know but I’m so tired of watching Stajan just dying out there. Enough already please Gully.

Funny because I was about to post the same thing. I didn't read more than a few posts in GT tonight and watched a considerably different Lack than a lot in here. Smith is better, no one's questioning that.

But a start like that from our backup against a very good team was fun to watch.

Yeah I thought Kulak was fine, don't get where that's coming from.

This team is not going anywhere with GG behind the bench and I firmly believe that. I will continue to support them but this is not the guy to take these young guys to the next level. I could go into pointing out all the suspect moves you see from this guy but I won't.

Save for a long win streak last year where our goaltending stood on there heads, this teams played pretty poorly overall under him.

They are going to give Gillies and Rittich one more year of development and the winner of that battle will be the backup up here next year. What's the point of one of these guys playing 10-15 games this year up here when they can each play 40 in Stockton?

Not quite sure what people here expect. I thought the Flames played decently, but looked somewhat tired after last night.

You have to give the other team some credit - they're not just stooges out there. St Louis played a solid defensive game; there was not a lot of time that a Flame had a puck in the O-zone when there wasn't at least one Blue (and more usually two) on him.

The only way to beat that is short quick passes with lots of support. That part is missing in the Flames repertoire - but that is on coaching, not so much on the players. It's just not how they play.

I thought so too. I was impressed with him a few times. His positioning going into the boards was impressive tonight. Always got the better end of the battles.

That keep-away behind the net was a thing of beauty.

No, I don't think you get to drop this and not elaborate.

For every small thing you want to bring up, remember that you need to counter that:
He's put faith in Sigalet when we all screamed he was the problem.
Has been the coach taking Monahan to the next level.
Has stuck with 3M when many coaches would have suffled by now.
Has the team playing faster and harder than we've seen in a very long time.
Has serious buy-in from everyone -- including the GOAT.
And just last night put on a show against a team that was a ton of fun to watch go to the SCF.

I'm having more fun watching the Flames right now than I have in a whole. GG has been great, and I love the patience decision makers have demonstrated with everyone.

Was about to post the same, thought it was a really good game for him. Looks way more confident with the puck and made some Brodie like moves to get out of trouble.

I though the Blues played quite a sloppy game, especially the first half. They were giving the puck away all over the ice, and Allen's gaffe was pretty bad.

Lack was just okay. Not the reason they lost, but the third goal should have been a save; he was leaning hard

Stajan is not long for the NHL.

Top line was fine. Not convinced Ferland is the best option for RW, buy he played well yesterday

Versteeg makes too many blind or high-risk passes

There's a lot about their game I am liking, but lots to improve as well.

The power play beginning of the third really had me wondering why the coaches are so against setting up with players in one timer positions. They had great puck control, but no one could get a one timer as they were all on their regular side.

I hope they can keep playing this way 5 on 5, and just get the special teams back in order.
