Versteeg - Monahan - Ferland played with a ton of Jam too.

Brodie was awesome and I'm really happy for Lazar.

Move Ferland to the fourth line pretty easy to say Brower is out.

After the first I thought Gaudreau controlled the pace of the game every time he touched the puck. Pretty impressive performance from a guy who needed a bounce back game. You could tell his confidence was starting to increase in the 2nd period as he started making slick moves at the blue line to gain the zone and made some very deft passes.

That game could have easily been 8-3. The Flames absolutely dominated the 2nd and 3rd period.

Honest question: How is Paul Maurice still the coach of the Jets?

Gaudreau really stepped up. What a phenomenal game and people are talking about Brodie and he got the chant, but we shouldn’t brush aside how dangerous Gaudreau was from the second period on. Looked determined and found his work ethic. He can be such an intelligent player.

As for the Jets, if they had any discipline they would be far more dangerous. They couldn’t mount a comeback because they were spending large amounts of time in the penalty box basically.

He seems to always play well against the Jets just as he does the Kings. It really shoots a hole in the "he can't play well against big tough teams" narrative some people try to put forth.

No kidding!! LOL

I did not see the first game vs Edmonton because I was working in BC. I remembered reading somebody saying trade Brodie. Then other saying Gaudreau should go and on and on.

First period they made some mistakes but they went on another gear on the second and never looked back. I was a bit confused why Gaudreau was double-shifting with 1st line and 3rd line. I didn't think Versteeg got hurt, did he? Not complaining though because he played well tonight. Curtis Lazar was very visible but he's snake-bitten. At least he works hard and starting to gel with Bennett. I am sure if Jagr plays in California he'll be sitting because they'll dress Tanner Glass for sure. Jags and Smitty will end the Honda Centre Curse.

Gotta say, Smith is looking really good so far. Not a great save percentage this game, but the Flames gave up a lot of good scoring chances against in that first period. Smith really kept them in it or this game could have gone the exact opposite direction of how it all finished.

Thought we were awful in the first 15 or so but predicted we would win when it was still 3-1. The Jets are awful.

Way to battle guys. Go Flames!

Hate to talk about Brouwer but didn't notice him tonight and that's a good thing.

Nice comeback win, and Smith kept them in it until the floodgates opened.

And some good adjustments by GG.

Simple answer? He got a contract extension.

Why he got an extension is a great question. Doesn't look like a great fit there. Mason gets a lot of flak, but that defense is just putrid.

Was so happy for Brodie tonight. Crowd chanting his name was a nice touch. Gaudreau with an awesome game and also liked the lines.
