Well the good news is that the Kings and Sharks look like they're past their best before date, so the deadly California teams as a whole appear to be fading away.

Admittedly I didn't watch the last Sharks/Oilers game super closely, but did Meier do something to play his way out of the lineup? I thought he's had a great series for the Sharks and seemed to be a constant threat. It's surprising to me that he isn't playing.
