Why does that mean it's unsafe? Isn't it more about not having a way home?

Jesus H, I sure hope we're not the only goddamn Canadian team to not win a game this weekend!

Big game for Toronto just starting. IF they can take it, I can see emotion alone taking them to take the series in 6.

Saw 3 replays of Ovechkin goal and can't see the puck. Just a rocket.

I hated the Leafs since I was a kid but I'm cheering for them now. Fun team to watch and they play with a ton of heart. Hope they knock off the Caps. If Ovy and his all star team can't beat a bunch of rookies then they don't deserve squat.

The two teams that made the biggest deadline splashes and went "all in", Washington with Shattenkirk and Minnesota with Hanzel, are in trouble.

Aside from the media that fawns over them, I actually don't have anything against the leafs. The fans that I know are pretty affable and joke about their decades of ineptitude.

They went out and got a good coach. They drafted well and developed their players well. Its a fun time for them right now.

The Leafs have been playing great, but they have been getting lucky too.

Caps had so many scoring chances and kept missing the net. Maybe all that OT unluckiness from the regular season is coming the other way now. Next game is HUGE!

This. I've never been a believer in moving futures to bolster your current team at the deadline because it may not help your current team (if anything it might disrupt your current chemistry) and it can lead to a lot of pain a few years down the road.

Indeed. If the Caps fall behind 3-1 they'll likely crater under the pressure and lose the series. Then again, if they tie it up 2-2 and take the momentum in the series heading back home, it could be lights out for the Leafs.
