If the Flames split you won't.

Edit: Also the tickets haven't gone on sale to the general public yet, only access is if your name was drawn for the presale. It's hard to say if any will be left after it opens up to the public.

I doubt that and you probably shouldn't try and get his hopes up by saying that.

My suggestion would be to buy tickets now if you can, no guanrtee you will be able to get tickets come Sunday especially cheaper then what they are right now

IDK if the Flames lose the first two I don't think it will be too hard to find a good deal on tickets

hopefully we don't find out

My point is, If you have a lottery code today:

And analyze the the cheapest Market Value vs. Face Value available on TM (lottery Price)

* PL seats: MV (stub Hub) $140 (after fees and exchange to CAD) vs. TM $94.50 - about $50 mark-up today for PL.

* 2nd Bowl Whites: MV (stub Hub) $271 vs. TM Face Value $249.00 - about $20 mark-up for whites in 2nd bowl

* Lower Bowl Reds: MV (Stub Hub) $373 vs. TM Face Value $366.00 - Almost Equal

And? If you wait you run the risk of paying more/not getting tickets vs get tickets now and possibly tickets are cheaper later.

To say you might as well wait because tickets will most likely be less than face value by Sunday is silly.

There is a pair in Section: 213 Row: 22 on Ticketmaster Exchange right now for less than face Value: $215/seat vs $249 Face Value

And? People sell tickets on here for less than FV as well, season ticket holders pay less than FV so they still make profit.

Shop around if you want or just use the code, it's personal preference and some people would rather just pay a little more to know they get tickets.

That was my whole point. There is no real benefit to being drawn for the "Lottery". Tickets are out there for Face or under. If someone wants tickets, the lottery is not the cheapest way to get in.

It sounded like your point was being drawn was pointless because you will likely get tickets below face value by Sunday. My point was that isn't totally accurate.

Also from what I can tell that ticket master site is USD.

Quote:
Listing prices are set by the seller and may exceed original face value / purchase price.
Tickets purchased will be seated together unless otherwise noted.
All charges listed are in U.S. Dollars (USD).
So unless that is wrong then your point isn't accurate.

I noticed for even the biggest games all year, prices dive sharply within 24 hours. There are so many sellers now the market is flooded with people dumping tickets. Stub hub still has almost 800 available for game 3

But wait theres more!

Add them to your cart and ticket exchange throws on $93 in fee's. Total is $523, which ends up being roughly $40 over face value.

Its close, it depends the location of seats within the zones. You are not going to get a pair in 212 row 12 for 249.00, maybe a single. Now if its row 25 in the near corner whites then your price examples may hold true. Of course it will all change if the Flames are convincing in games 1 and 2.

Its interesting, i think most casual fans are generally pessimistic about the Flames prospects so that may already be built in to the demand right now. These fans will not be engaged until the Flames win a game.

Maybe resale tickets will drop if the Flames are down 2-0 coming back to Calgary... maybe. I'd say press level seats are the only ones that run this risk, everything is pretty slim pickings.

However you can be damn sure if the Flames are up 2-0 or get the split tickets will be selling for over face value.

Plenty of STH dump tickets they can't use for their cost on the ticket exchange. I probably sold at least half of my tickets at cost. It's fast and easy, sure I could play around and try to make more, but some people cant be bothered. As long as I'm not losing money I'm happy.

how do you get to the seat map? i got there originally then it logged me out and it wont let me look at available seats via Map anymore, just a list of seats available.

btw if i buy one ticket now could i buy another a little later? or do i have to get them both in one hit? is it difficult to sell 1 ticket for playoffs if end up having to?

Got drawn for Tickets to Home Game A(Game 3), I will be sitting in the second last row. I will look to trade with someone behind me so I can stand and have room behind me for beers!

The only tickets I can find using the code are in level 2 for $366.00/each.

I don't fancy sitting in PL.
