Would be super obnoxious if the Flames beat the Sens after gifting the Habs and Leafs some easy points, so I fully expect it to happen.

Tkachuk the Terrible
Quote:
ll they do have Tkachuk running around slewfooting people so I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a cheap shot and watching all the #toughness crowd crow about how it would never happen with Neil in the lineup. Completely ignoring the fact that he has been cheap shotting people all season including teams with tough guys in the line up with no change to his behaviour
Quote:
Tkachuk is going to cheapshot Karlsson and then all the "toughness" guys on HFSens are going to point to that being the reason he did it, even though Tkachuk has cheapshot like half the guys in the league already by this point in his career.

Back to back OT's that a Karlsson brain-fart leads to a loss.
Quote:
So we dominate the 4 first minutes of OT then they score on their only chance... Can u say typical sens?
Quote:
Literally THE ONLY chance the Flames get in OT. Overplaying Karlsson is clearly making him restless enough to make costly errors.
On a lighter note, love the Wingull animation hahaha.

I feel like you're vastly underestimating how hard it is for a left handed player to switch to the RW.
I think you haven't seen much of Tkachuk playing in the OHL. He was tremendous on the right side all the time working on that size of the zone. He's a very intelligent player.
The point is that you want to create a #1 line by breaking up the #1 line.
Frankly, I missed tonight's game. You'll have to tell me.
You would think that just about any forward would find a degree of success playing with Gaudreau and Monahan, too. Sometimes the huge problems are not the ones anybody could foresee.
Guy, I hate to break it to you, but the Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik line was broken up tonight. From the start of the game.

Maybe, but this is the NHL. He also had how many points in the OHL?
I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's much harder than you are making it out to be.
Man, I'm glad they won because I was red hot that Elliott let in that goal with a minute left. Sure he had a screen, but he wasn't square to the shot and deep in his net yet again. He continues to let in at least 1 bad goal a game. It should never have gone to OT.
Tough crowd. He was screened twice and had to play deep since there were 6 Sens on the ice, if he came out to challenge he would have let the other side of the net wide open where the Sens outnumbered the Flames. He's let in some stinkers this year, but he was solid tonight and that wasn't a bad goal. If he wasn't screened I'd agree, but he was.

I didn't make it out to be anything... I said "try" it. As in, if it was a big problem, lines can be shuffled quickly.
Some players are ineffective on their off wing. Tkachuk is not. He's very good on the right side. He's also big, strong, mature, and as mentioned, very intelligent.
Surprised Monahan's goal isn't generating more chatter in here. That was seriously crazy to pull that off right at the goal mouth under pressure. That is a pretty incredible goal.

I said I missed the game. Do you want a stick to beat me with, or does this require taking me out back with a shotgun?
Since I was responding to someone who was suggesting that Tkachuk should be taken off of Backlund's line, I assumed that it had not actually happened yet. People don't normally talk about actual ongoing events as if they were hypothetical.
