I think Tkachuk-Monahan-Gaudreau has potential -- put Johnny on his off-wing in transition and let Monahan and Tkachuk work below the dots.

I would love to see that. I think Gaudreau can excel on his off-wing.

Would've been a perfect time to call a goalie up.

Not expecting much of anything from this sad-sack team. At this point I just want to see a decent effort for once. I don't even care if they win.

Every other Canadian team has beat the Flames over the last few weeks, don't see any reason why Ottawa won't complete the sweep tonight, likely in blowout fashion.

To all you Chaisson-haters out there, don't forget the PP time that he's also been getting.
When GG gets fired, he'll say: "But I turned Alex Chaisson into a first-line player wing career high points playing alongside elite talent Johnny Gaudreau." at his next job interview.
As for Bennett, I just can't see how he will ever play a crash-and-bang style of game when GG likes to bench him every time he takes a penalty. I think Bennett gets traded for cheap and flourishes under a new coach/team; all thanks to the GG treatment. I hope time proves me wrong.

I'm sorry Mr. Gulutzan, but that just isn't relevant here at Boston Pizza.

Wonder how hard they partied yesterday. Could have been good team bonding or bad. Never know!
I think the flames pull this out though. 5-2.

He won't need an interview to get a job at Boston Pizza. Just like Chaisson won't need any training to be his head chef.

Everyone can hate on Chiasson as much as they want but he's the second best RW available to this team right now. Brouwer is Clarkson-lite, Hamilton and Hathaway have even less puck skill, and Versteeg seems stuck on LW.
I'd like to see a Tkachuk-Monahan-x line but I think the combined lack of footspeed would make my head explode.

There isn't another pair of forwards that have the chemistry that Backlund and Frolik have on this team. I'd go as far to say there might not be another duo in the league that has the chemistry that these guys have together.
So it makes sense to break them up. Right?
Sigh. Gulutzan already tried Gaudreau-Monahan-Frolik early in the season and it didn't work at all. So go back to it, cause once again, it makes so much sense.

That's kind of the point, no other forward pairings are getting anything done. Mix it all up. Backlund and Frolik are the only 2 guys on the team playing spirited, well rounded, smart hockey. Maybe it can rub off on some new linemates.

I like to read Roger's tweet as being kinda catty. Even though he probably didn't mean it that way. Seems funnier to me.

He meant it exactly the way it was written. Sanctimonious prick. I hate when people say that they met a celebrity or pseudo celebrity and tell you what kind of a jerk they were. Usually I take this with a grain of salt. But I got to spend some time with Roger a couple years ago at the prospect camp, and he was even more of a dick than I imagined. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, maybe I just caught him on a bad day. Then I met them again this year and spent a little time with him and Loubardias. Nope, he's a dick.

Funny, "Senator" usually makes me think of Patrick Brazeau going to his strip club job while suspended.

LMAO!
My problem is I spent an ungodly amount of hours in my room with various Asterix comics in my youth. To the point that I learned roman numerals and a VERY twisted sense of the roman empire from them LMAO.
