Said it in the GT, and I'll say it again: Jokipakka was pretty bad in the first two-and-a-half periods, but he really made up for it late in the third. Shut down a two-on-one, a one-on-one, threw a couple hits, fed Tkachuk to clear the zone, and registered an assist -- all on one shift.
He just needs to do this more often, and he'd be a quality 5D. As it is right now, he's a fringe NHLer.

Right.
But those two and half periods usually don't inspire confidence for putting him out in the final minutes of the game. I'm glad it worked out, but it was making me nervous.
Sure liked Johnson, Tkatchuk, Stajan, Hathaway tonight. Bouma played as well as I've seen him this year. Didn't mind Monahan and Gaudreau at all. Brodie was very good, Wideman not as good as last night.
Tkachuk is on pace for over 50 points in his rookie season.
What's this kid gonna be in a couple years?
I think the last Flame rookie with 50 points had a pretty good career.

Fuzz - "He didn't speak to the media before the election, either."
It's got to be because they're still salty about Ferland from two seasons ago, because I definitely didn't think there was anything to complain about on his hit on Tramkin (sp?).
