What. The. Hell?
If you remove the Elliott game in BUF, we're 5-1 with Johnson in our last 6.

+5 goal differential, only 6 goals against.

Good.

I hate to be a downer but they've played two more games than any other team they're battling with, they're actually two points out, and they have the most losses in the conference.

They need to go on an extended streak here to get back in it, 3-4 more games. The good news is that they're playing a LOT better and with the goaltending they're getting, it isn't out of the question.

Love the Chad!

Agree with Enoch, the simpler Ferland keeps his game, the better it is. Playing him with puck-on-net grinders I think is feeding that mentality. He's the best offensive threat on his line, so shooting the puck on net is the best play if he has it on his stick.

Brodie. The flames seem to live and die by whether he's going or not.

Can't help but notice on that game winning goal, the play is started by Giordano streaking down the wing and getting a hard shot on net.

Flames are going to need that goaltending going forward, but IF they can get it, and IF they keep playing harder for each other, they could have a shot at the playoffs.

Best game of the season I thought for the team playing hard for each other. Engelland should have a ton of value at the deadline if he keeps playing this way. He'd be a valuable addition to any team entering the post season.

Great game to watch as a fan.

That ATL is gold. I wonder if any other forums do it and what they think of our reactions

lol. I think people that take a look around here after a loss just get scared. I know I do sometimes.

You could cherry pick some ugly stuff from this board if you went searching following a loss or two.

Considering Bob Hartley's 7-game segments, the Flames are 2-0-0 thus far in this current one.

Worth pointing out, at least to me, is that the Flames finally look like they are a team that sticks up for each other these past few games.

If there is one good thing to come of Johnny's injury, this team is finally pulling themselves together and getting to work and standing up for one another. Of course I want wins and playoffs and improvement - but that is a very important thing I want to see continue throughout the season and beyond as this team continues to craft its identity.

I think CP is good at giving credit where credit is due when it comes to opponents and losses.

However...we absolutely rip our own team apart and always look for scapegoats when losing, often writing them off and making definitive statements, rather than being a little more level headed and chalking it up to an off night/stretch. It's a little embarrassing.

I'd say re-sign Johnson now but then I have flashbacks of Turek and I'm not so sure.

I think Boston fans hate their PP coach as much as Flames fans hate theirs.

Last time I was in Boston a friend of mine astutely pointed out that Boston was "crudely polite".

ie: I hope you s***heads are having a great f*****g day.

Love that city.

Let's keep 'er going boys!

Under Hartlry he seemed like he had to do a lot on his own, finishing checks, mucking it up; Now he seems to be contributing more and playing more of a team game. Maybe this system is a better fit for him. I can see why JG has had some struggles fitting into more of a team game than having to do things on his own. I think if the team continues to focus on keeping the goals down and is scoring by committee teams are going to have trouble focusing on one player.
