Next year they should team up with TransCanada and dig a very long and narrow hole on a predetermined path through Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

Yeah, pretty underwhelming. There's a construction site just across from my wife's office with a deep (I think about eight story) hole, and it was fascinating to watch a whole chain of excavators passing dirt up and out of the hole... that I could watch for a while. One excavator just staying on the surface and reaching down into the hole is, well, lame. But then, I didn't pay so what right do I have to complain? Still, if there was any effort to actually dig down deep, then I think they would have been able keep this going a lot longer as people were curious to see how deep they could actually dig.

I think I see a business opportunity here. Let's combine our webcams and make an easy $100k. Too bad nobody took advantage of the Bow Building concrete pour. "Keep paying, we'll keep pouring".
