Default Flames are two points out of a playoff spot! Beat 'Yotes 2-1 in OT!

Plus, that's two solid efforts in a row.

In addition, the Flames pretty much dominated all game. Smith is the only reason the score is close and the refs are the only reason the Coyotes potted one. I think the scoring chances were 19-3.

The way they are playing 5-5 is good. Tight checking, now learning how to transition more effectively.

PP is still crap, which has hurt. Goaltending was poor to start, better now with Johnson. Still our star players are struggling. The one that was getting hot went down, but Monahan, Bennett, Brodie and Gio just simply have to execute better offensively.

Win is a win, doesn't matter who it's against.

I'm pumped about the Around the League report.

Did they? They didn't look good in the first (neither team did) and the second period was pretty meh in my opinion. Strong third though.

Flames were for sure full value for that win. The Coyotes may indeed be the punching bags of the league but our boys walked all over them .

Hopefully a confidence builder. Almost every Flame played well tonight.

No. Chiasson wrecked the PP a couple times tonight.

If you can't celebrate when your team wins what are you doing? It's sports, it's supposed to be fun.

The best and most productive thing we can do is to continue making threads and comments about how it's simply because the might not be very good / are terrible-horrible.

Tkachuk may very well become the best pick this year after Matthews and Laine. So strong and poised even as a rookie, and will only get better.
