Great night tonight.
Is it just me or have the Oilers fans gone back into hibernation? We'll probably see them again around mid-April right?

Atrocious officiating. To the point where the league should be looking into it and having serious conversations with officials who worked the game tonight.

Missed calls all over on the sharks and phantom Flames penalties... but the worst was Pavelski absolutely bowing over a Flames beside our net with the puck nowhere near them... in sight of all the officials and no call. It was stunning it was so blatant and negligent.

Aside from that, how good has Frolik been this year so far? Making Ricardow look like the broken down outdated computer he is.

New lines for next game should be:

*assuming Versteeg is still hurt

Gaudreau - Monahan - Hamilton/Shinkaruk
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Bennett - Brouwer
Bouma - Stajan - Chiasson

Gio - Brodie
Jokipakka - Hamilton
Kulak - Engelland

And big time leading up to the draft, it is the only thing they ever look forward to winning.

I was screaming at my tv with around two minutes left when Backlund was hauled down at the Flames blueline (can't recall the Sharks player). I mean, how do you not call that?

Gulutzan must have kept them away from Johnny/Monny/Chiasson AKA Black Hole Line

It's incredible that this team is 5-6-1 with Gaudreau and Monahan playing like 3rd liners so far. Watching the depth step up has me very excited for when those two figure out how to play hockey again.

Ferland has especially been fantastic and I hope Brad gets to work on his extension sooner rather than later.

Lots to still work on.
You thought they played poor against Chicago at home?

Chicago was lucky not to be down 2-3 goals going into the third period.

Agreed that was a disgusting display by the refs. It was Giordano who was bowled over. Thornton is a good player but gets away with so much crap.

Right now I'm not even mad about the refs not calling penalty on the other team cos the Flames' PP sucks, every time they're on the PP, it kills whatever momentum they generated prior to the power play...
