If we assume it'll take the typical 96 points to make the playoffs, this team will now have to go 46-29-1 for the rest of the year, just to be in a wildcard spot.
When we inevitably lose the next 3 or 4 in a row... who gets axed/traded? This is a cap team, and this roster is closer to the finished product than a rebuild, whether we want to admit that or not. This is not acceptable and it's going to cost someone their job if we don't turn it around immediately.

His pass on the late pp was embarrassingly bad. Tried to pass across the ice through 3 Blues players instead of the easy pass back to Gio. That pretty much killed the pp.
Monahan needs to be much better. Gaudreau hasn't looked great either but at least the effort is there.

This team is soft, no edge, and slow. There are too many forwards on the team that have the same skill level=essentially mediocre skaters with no finish.
Outside of Brodie, Gaudreau, and maybe Frolic and Hamilton, is there a player with above average speed on the roster. Big and slow won't win in today's NHL.
