I loved his all red gear through if he thinks he can change his slump by changing gears, by all means. I hope he finds his groove again.

I feel sort of bad for Elliott. Seems like a real quality guy and was billed as being the more premiere of the two new goalies when we acquired them. He's struggled a bit (part of it seems to be the way the team has played in front of him), and is really fading into the shadows with Johnson's recent play. From a team perspective it's great that one of the two is excelling, but I hope Elliott finds some confidence and can get in to a bit of a groove at some point.

I agree to an extent. I don't think Elliott has really been that bad, Johnson has just been better. I'm not sure it's a lack of confidence so much as competing with a guy who's playing out of his mind right now.

I have a theory (applies to all players not just goalies) that often when guys have a kid for the first time their quality of play suffers for the rest of that season.

Off topic, but didn't Ferland just have a kid? Or he's just about to?

Elliott will be fine. He's been solid at worst in his last few starts.
