.For those wondering about players like Drew Doughty, Dustin Byfuglien and even Phil Kessel, they have all lost weight and improved their conditioning in recent years. The league is getting quicker and right or wrong, conditioning is becoming a bigger part of players off-season and their commitments to their teams.

Drew Doughty: Lost 12 lbs at the start of the 15-16 season. http://lakingsinsider.com/2015/09/18...se-in-minutes/

Dustin Byfuglien: Was a rumored 302 lbs at one point http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu...131116224.html

But the NHL Jets website has him listed at 260 lbs and his play has been consistently strong for a few years now.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-pu...131116224.html

Phil Kessel: He was working out last off-season prior to joining the Penguins with Gary Roberts. The best info I can find was that he was down 13 lbs but details were hard to come by. His weight and fitness have always been controversial when he was a Leaf so I think he didn't want to anger anybody with any specific confirmation.

At the end of the day every player plays the game at the stage they think best serves them. NHL players are generally very fit and some players are just genetic freaks in terms of the time they can play. Everybody is different.

There have been Flames signing up on CP for years now. That isn't anything new. I seem to recall Marc Savard.

I suspect more than a few lurk as well.

Noodles was on here for sure. He PM'd a user after that poster had slammed him about a poor performance.

I imagine there are lots of family members of players on here too. David Moss' brother used to post here quite a bit.

I recall Andrew Ference posting a bit as well possibly during the cup run season. Not sure my memory is foggy.

Did he threaten to hack him in the stomach with his stick?

This is why I dislike the over the top criticisms of players, especially local guys like Raymond and Colborne. Lots of stuff is said you wouldn't say to their relative in person, but you might in fact be doing just that electronically.

I think the line is criticizing their play is fine.
Criticizing them as people isn't not fine.

Except for Chris Jones. Because he's a dink.

Criticizing actual play is fine, but some criticism ostensibly of play goes overboard. I'm not advocating banning it or censoring it - I just don't like it.
