Pro-tip: If you land on a planet that has zero animal species on it, you can submit it and it counts towards your "Planets With All Species Discovered" milestone. Makes that trophy a lot easier since there are a lot without animals.

Honestly find the game boring. It is pretty, a neat idea, but super repetitive. Could be a good game if its fleshed out a bit more, but as of now I'm putting it aside for a bit.

Also the UI. It is terrible.

Anyone come into the recipe for antimatter yet or know how to get it? I haven't been able to leave my first system yet.

For me I did a solar system scan (in the first one) and it found a shelter where an alien had it.

I don't craving playing this game but once I start it is usually a solid 3-4 hours. I think this is a great game to play and chill out for a few hours but I can't play everyday, just too boring for me after a few hours.

You didn't get a guided 'quest' for it? I know there isn't a lot of hand holding but I think at the beginning if you choose your own path instead of 'listening to the atlas' it's like disabling the tutorial.

At first I was really loving it but man after 10 or so planets. It's pretty much all the same just reskinned. It makes me sad.

Can you conquer, prinitive civilizations with the power of fire, or a laser canon. It would be nice to create slave colonies where they mine and cut word for you during the day and at night worship a statue of your likeness.

Damn it. I did the "choose your own path" business.

I chose that too, and the game still directed me to a place where I got the Antimatter recipe.

Spoiler!

^^Good to know. I've found a bunch of those but much of what I got from them was useless so I've since been skipping them. Will go back to them now.

That experimental patch #3 that released today finally allowed me to log in for the first time. At first I kept crashing @ Hello Games, then with a few fixes I managed to get to the Initialize screen where it would freeze then crash. I was close to refunding but they said they were working on adding extra support for Phenoms (which I have).

I haven't played for more then an hour yet, but I'm liking it so far.

In the end I don't think it matters - the game just won't guide you to it from the beginning. You'll stumble upon the stuff you need eventually.

It's crashed my PS4 the last two times I've played it now, after about the same amount of playtime (20 mins or so). My PS4 has only crashed once in all the other time before this.

I've been seeing a lot of feedback that for some reason this game really taxes the PS4.

I don't know if its true, but I was reading one posting where a guy had to clean out his PS/4 after having it over heat while playing this game.

There's more controversy surrounding this game than any game since StarCitizen, though StarCitizen still has far more.

Seems to me this is what comes when a small studio releases a game with an entirely new and massive concept and technology -- not really enough resources to make it work well at first, but at the same time, much larger studios have done much worse at launch.

This will be a pass for me but the technology behind this game is very interesting and I'm sure there will be more to come in the future.

Yep I agree. After doing lots of research post launch, I've decided not to pick it up. It just doesn't seem like a game I would enjoy (never mind the bugs).

I am very glad that this game exists though. It's good to see a small studio trying to do something different and creative. Hopefully this paves the way for some more "out there" type games because I'm getting tired of the sea of sequels out there

I really hope they eventually open this game up for 3rd party mods and development. All those wants could be integrated into the game. Since this game is actually single player it could work, albeit only on the PC side.
