Great list, Avenue.
Yeah shocking that all of the fully developed neighbourhoods with trees and buildings and stuff aren't growing as fast as a giant field of grass and dirt.

Is my memory failing me, or did Polak look at a bunch of inner city places, decide they didn't fit his budget, then move to the middle of nowhere and start bashing the inner city constantly?

Well, if you look at the methodology:
http://www.avenuecalgary.com/Best-Ne...s-Methodology/
you see it is a combination of self selected surveys and data amalgamation using awesome metrics such as "walk score" and voter turnout. No wonder it comes out so random.

This would be a great case study of how not to do analytics.

If there's one reason not to live in Brentwood it would be having to look at these abominations every day some of the ugliest buildings ever.

They still think Acadia is a good place to live? I'm can just keep reusing my comments from 2013.

Things to enjoy in Acadia: The sounds of a police helicopter overhead every night. Drunks walking on the street trying to take a swing at your car. Ghetto Walmart. Sidewalks covered in glass.

Sundance is low because it has a high NIMBY score. Sorry, Sundancers!

Willy's was the only thing going for Acadia.

No. That's an insult to Harlem.

Eagerly anticipating the 2017 survey in which neighbourhoods will either benefit or suffer from the amount of gyms and pokestops in their boundaries.

Those are my two biggest beefs living here.

There's two or three strip mall type places with subway/vietnamese/bakery/dentist businesses and a grand total of two bars/pubs between Macleod trail & 14th street. You're basically forced to drive for any real food or groceries. I'd be nice to have a local place for coffee or breakfast without hopping in the car.

But I suppose my stab free torso is worth more than an ice coffee on a hot Saturday afternoon.

A couple of my friends and I once went to Creekside Pub on Elbow Dr/Canyon Meadows intersection.

It was weird. Not a place for younger people haha

Lol Scenic Acres? Is peach coloured stucco coming back into style?

Dalhousie has very little appeal. Brentwood is likely a typo, so that's forgivable.

I didn't click the link to look any further down the list, hate supporting clickbait journalism.

No idea, we just wanted to try something different (but still close by) other than Austin's.
