Oh yes. You sir are an Island.

The production of that film is widely regarded as a bad move and has angered a great many people.

We might look to the director, David Ayer, who can’t direct.

It’s such a profoundly bad time at the movies that you wonder if you ever had a good time at them before, or whether you’re likely to have a good time at them again. Here’s hoping.
Brutal indeed.

That review is hilarious haha

But really, the much hyped Joker is only in it for 10min? Why show him in the trailers at all then?

Were the 80's really ever "Modern Times"? I feel like the 80's had to have felt dated, even in the 80's.... You guys were weird.

It's as bad as they say. Jumbled mess. First half hour is hilariously disjointed. It's like a badly edited YouTube video.

Villain is terrible. Some of the special effects were terrible. The references to the rest of the DC universe were forced and awkward on a level not seen since...well the last crappy DC movie where they did the same thing. Harley and joker were good. Everything else bad.

It was pretty bad. I kinda had fun in the first third despite it being poorly constructed. Then the final two acts came and it was just terrible. Brutal villain, little to no back story on a few characters, just a big boring mess. The action was very mediocre as well.

Joker and Harley were good, Deadshot had moments, the rest were forgettable.

3/10

Tough to understand why WB is all good making an R-Rated cartoon Batman, but can't nut-up and make an R-Rated feature film.

I was pretty disappointed with the Killing Joke honestly.

They got Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy together again, had top notch source material and that was the best they could do?

I actually haven't watched it yet, or SS. Obviously the money spent/earned on a feature film is in a different stratosphere than animated films, so the risk isn't as big, but come on. You do it right and it's Deadpool. You do it wrong and it's..what? What R-Rated comic book films are bad? Maybe arguments can be made for both sequels of Sin City and 300, but those things still made big money IIRC. I still maintain Watchmen is good. I don't understand the issue with making something that is has always been R-Rated, R-Rated.

And how can most DC animated movies be decent to excellent, and they just can grasp the big screen adaptations? Hire the same people. They obviously work for you already.

Strangely enough, a lot of that dated stuff was actually made to look futuristic at the time. Cars that looked like spaceships, ties that looked like keyboards, keyboards that looked like guitars... What a time.

26% on RT - it's finally dropped below BvS.

I think there's a 0% chance that happens.

Frankly, they could make a phenomenal Wonder Woman movie and it wouldn't help simply because it's Wonder Woman.

To be fair, you could have said the same thing about Iron Man.

The difference being they didn't introduce two of their three main characters (and tease the rest) in a pretty bad movie.

I liked it. To be fair, I am quite fond of the source material. I'd likely give this one a 2.5/5. It's no Oscar winner, to be sure, but I enjoyed it well enough. I liked Harley and Deadshot. I felt that Batman was in it enough, and that Joker was in it too much (should have had about as much screen time as Batman).
