I think it's fair to expect him to be top 10 in points, whatever number that comes out to.

I think an improved powerplay will lead to more points for Johnny this season.

Does better coaching/ Brouwer get him away from the road checking?

Or if the other teams take him seriously and force checking on him (playoff style line matching) in the dome?

56 pts at home +21 22 pts -17 on the road.

Do you not think teams were taking Gaudreau seriously at the dome? Maybe next year they will try harder. It probably was mostly due to having last change, something that won't change in 16/17.

The road match ups were telling, obviously improvement is needed. Hopefully a bigger team will help as well as a coach that works road match ups better. Hartley wasn't rolling four lines like Desjardins does but I feel a better coach might get better results there, especially with a bigger team.

Better be damn worries about injuries. I'd rather 70 in 82.

In the grind of the regular season, playing the Flames once a month or so, the standard coaching philosophy is to play your own game... roll your lines and play as best as you can on the road.

If the games with the Flames take on more significance it would not have to take serious thinking to focus on stopping the Flames alpha-forward at the expense of changing your own best game plan.

By the same token I would fully expect better coaching to get Gaudreau more opportunities on the road. I don't think he HAS to play with Monahan all the time (81% of Gaudreau's 5 on 5 had Monahan out with him) On the road it obviously did not work.

Bennett and Backlund have better scoring stats on the road than Monahan.

At least one - the first goal ever at Rogers Arena in Edmonton to troll their fans.

First goal? More like first hat trick in the Oilers new building, in a 7-1 whomping. Tkachuk with a goal, too.

Maybe even a jersey toss in the first game.

I'm going to say this about Gaudreau, and Monahan to some extent:

Their results this year will largely depend on the ability of Bennett to take the next step and become the player we think he can be. IF Bennett becomes a 60 point, pain-in-the-ass player, the best defenders for the opposition will have to focus on someone besides Gaudreau and Monahan 100% of their shifts.

Should that happen, I can easily see Gaudreau take advantage to the tune of 90 points: 30 goals, 60 assists.

This should become much more likely should the Flames find a good fit on the 1st line RW spot. Brouwer? Tkachuk? Chiasson? Not sure, but stay tuned to find out!

I really think the sky's the limit for the owner of, perhaps, the most perfect shift of 3-on-3 OT hockey that's ever been played in the NHL.

I actually prefer the one vs Chicago.

(Also from Galaxy)

Spent almost every second in the Chicago zone with 3 Grade A scoring chances.

Well, Home: 21-16-4 Away: 14-24-3
Safe to say the whole team sucked on away games. I think that as the team gets better, obviously the away record should get better as well, as will his away point totals.
That's also not factoring his ability to get better as a player.

I honestly am expecting 90-100 points.
