Britain defended its territory without Russia. Could Russia have done the same without Britain? We'll never know, but I don't think so. It was pretty close as is.

I always felt bad for the Czechs being handed over to the Nazis and then ending up on the wrong side of the iron curtain.

It is great to see they are now a free democratic society with self determination and the ability to call themselves whatever they want.
