Just chiming in. Watching the Arizona feed and it's the worst broadcast I've seen yet. They just stop calling the play when Calgary has the puck.

Poirier appears to be really focusing on his defensive positioning and making smart defensive reads, to the point of sacrificing offensive opportunity.

Wow, top notch analysis there boys. Glad you follow hockey.

Tyson Nash is the main problem. He's a terribly biased coyote homer that sounds like Mike Johnson and talks as much as Gary Galley. Can't stand him.

The great thing is, I typed "Tyson Nash idiot" into google and found a few articles that say as much. One is even titled "Tyson Nash is an IDIOT".

I don't know if he needs a green light from the coaches or what, but he really needs to be more aggressive. I'd say he's the 2nd or 3rd faster skater in the organization and I haven't really seems him use it.

All the young guys have looked good tonight. The guys that have really stood out, and for the wrong reasons, have been Stajan, Bollig, and sad to say, Bouma. I think it is because they lack the foot speed the rest of the team is displaying.

I wonder if Shinkaruk and Bennett would pair better than Monahan.

It's crazy seeing Shinkaruk seeming to be so happy to be a Flame and all these pics of him as a kid in Flames gear after the insinuations we heard regarding his interview with Flames staff at that 2013 draft. That being that the Flames staff apparently getting the opinion that he just didn't want to play for the Flames.
Granted not all players, I'm betting very few, actually want to play for their hometown team. So who knows.

I like that Engelland gave him an extra shot while on the ice.

Thank god that was waived off and we don't have to hear that ridiculous howl 48 times.

I think you're right. I think he's been told to focus on getting stronger on the one side of the puck that he's afraid to use his greatest strength to try and generate offense.
