Do you mean change the colours of the logo, or the logo design itself? The logo IMO is off limits forever.

not the logo but the jersey design. The logo is who the Flames are but the design and color scheme of the jersey just seems wrong.

I never came around to this third jersey, so I'm glad it's done.

Plus, permanent retro thirds? Great news.

Any poll I run always has the retro red at 80% and that's on a site with a pretty young population.

You may not be speaking for the masses.

Count me in as someone who has zero connection to the 80's, never once saw them play in those jerseys, and without a single drop of nostalgia to taint my opinion: thinks the retro jerseys look the best out of any Flames jersey I've ever seen them wear.

For anyone who has ordered from sportchek?
Ever since seeing the NHL Store disaster jerseys, would these be properly stitched like the ones you can buy at the dome?

I've always got the blank ones for cheap and get them stiched elsewhere but I think the ones at the stores are heat pressed

Even though they are retro I would suggest that many people appreciate the simpler aesthetic. Young or old. Also, the retro's still look updated given the materials/styles of the jerseys being used. Classy might be the best word.

I was born in 89, and I've been a Flames fan since '97, the year after Patrick Roy won the cup with the Avs. I have absolutely 0 connection to the '80s retros. I think they are the best looking jerseys we've ever had.

People need to listen to this fella.

I have a large amount of nostalgia, having watched the Flames win a cup in those jerseys.

I was born in 92 and also have zero connection the 80's. The retro jersey is they only one I've purchased simply because it looks the best. I want to get a new Johnny one, but just can't seem to bring myself to do it with how much I dislike the current set up.

Even if they decide not to go back to retro full time I'd love to see a new design that incorporates the red pants, helmets, and gloves

Yup. Born in '89. for all the right reasons, the 04 jersey should be my favorite (it's close), but the retros just look the best. I have no reason to be nostalgic for them, and it doesn't have anything to do with "reliving glory years" that I was never a part of.

They are more aesthetically pleasing, period.

Can someone add "current retro" to the poll. I voted "V" era but the current retro is the best. Better cut and colours.

Yup... The retros are simple, classic, vibrant and unique.

20% of the league wears a version of black and red. Probably a larger fraction of sports teams world wide wear black and red. Not many teams wear red and yellow.

Born in 1990, but didn't pay attention to Flames till about 1996-97, so don't have any attachment to the retros, but love the design the best for it's simplicity and pop the colours have on it. The 2004 Flames jerseys are my second favourite set. Again, for it's simplicity and the how well the colours come off.

Get the black out. That is all I ask.

New Jersey, Chicago, Ottawa, Team Canada, Carolina, and Phoenix all have some kind of red and black combination.

Whenever I see the Kansas City Chiefs play, I just think about how awesome that look would be the ice again.

Also dump the idea of shoulder patches. No need for them.

Someone should tell that to the Bruins, Black Hawks, Rangers, Red Wings, and Canadiens.

New Flash!! The 40's 50's and 60's are gone!
