You can't just blatantly give up on the players, which is what he'd be doing if he left the team playing the stretch drive with only Ortio and Poulin

I wouldn't have blamed Hiller even if he let in his first shot in that situation.

As much as I think Hiller I thrash, that was a pretty impressive performance coming off the bench cold like that. It's really frustrating to see how quick his leg speed is but how his glove and blocker are slower than molasses. It almost seems like he has some sort of physical impediment from keeping them up.

Both Bennett and Kicky McKickingtonpants (Couture?) should be suspended for a few games. That's the type of crap we don't need in today's NHL.

Just a crazy crazy game.
Bennett should be getting a call from the league. That was pure elbow to face. The exact thing the league wants out. Not pleased with that.
Whats the guess on how long Ramo is out? Season? A month? Might force Treliving to pull the trigger if he firmly believes the team can make the playoffs. I'm not sure if they really want to hang the season on Hiller/Ortio now.

Someone in the GDT mentioned that the games against the Sharks are always interesting for one reason or another.
They were absolutely correct. Wow.

5 points out with a game in hand boys.

Sometimes that's exactly what's needed. Treliving should trade both Hiller and Ramo today if offered enough. What is enough? Hard to say, but it is some quantifiable amount I'm sure. Even at the expense of an extra 0.5 GAA from now until the end of the season, it is worth exploring IMO.

Throw the book at him. Bennett should get 3-5 as well, IMO. regardless of intent, or outcome.
