Generally around 3-4th D.

60 mins per game / 3 pairs of D = average of 20/game amongst all D.

1st pairing gets a significant workload (~25+), second pairing normally gets just over 20, and 3rd pairing gets sheltered/minimal minutes. Also depends on the team dynamics and PP/PK usage.

Nice game - I still don't have a lot of hope, though it is ALWAYS good to beat the 'Nucks. Now, if they could score a few more that weren't ENs.....

Thought Backs played really well tonight - he dug in hard and made their D work. Good to see.

But a photograph is shortened to picture, so by your sound logic, a picture would actually be pronounced PHIC-ture. No?

Haha, in what way is photograph shortened to picture?

Picture is from the Latin word for painted apparently.

Edit: Looks like photograph is a combo of Greek words. So the 2 are quite disconnected.

You know what I find insane?

Every year from 09-10 to 13-14, the Flames averaged at or over 100% attendance at the Saddledome.

However, last year and this year, the first two years in a while where there have actually been hope for the club, the attendance has fallen below that mark.

Weirder still - attendance is up this year from last year, despite the fact that this year's team would lose 6-1 to last year's.

Another fun fact: Calgary is the worst draw in the league for opposing teams. In away games for Calgary, on average 90.6% of the arena is full - the worst mark in the league.

Hopefully CALGARY can string together a few wins in a row and pass the Canucks in the standings

This would be false. It was a great play by all the guys on the ice.

Was a great zone exit by Bennett, and then a great entry by Backlund who attracted the Canucks d and made a great pass to Brodie.

Brodie then made a great pass as well.

So just a little FYI, Vox (who hosts CP) let me know that they experienced a denial of service attack from Germany (though where it's from means little) that coincided suspiciously with tonight's game (i.e. starting around the game start, ending around the game end).

That lines up with what I was observing server side (no load) and what people were actually experiencing (slowness).

Their networking engineers are looking into it more, and I've suggested that they may want to check other days as well to see if this is a one-off or something that's been on and off for a longer time.

I don't have any further information than that. I posted the same in the thread in the help section as well, I probably won't be reading any replies to this thread (going to bed) but if you have any questions you can post there and I'll see them.

Nah, only after someone had pointed out it was getting reposted elsewhere and suggested I add a tag.

But good point, I'll remove them out of respect for the original artist. What's the actual context of the comic? I'm not familiar with Shmorky as I originally saw it somewhere else with some "my reaction when" caption added.
