When I met my wife she was an oilers fan but she has lost any interest in the team over the last 6 years, which makes being with her a lot easier.

Usually ends well for me. She wins I lose. But aT the end of the night I win because she feels sad for me.

At 3.5 years old I highly doubt that is actual "spite" but moreso an indication of your genuine failure as a father and human being. For shame, sir.

He literally asks me what team I'm cheering for and then excitedly cheers for the opposite. My brother, the dirty oilers fan bought him a jersey and now I need to find a new son

My god. This is my life.

My 10-year-old does EXACTLY the same thing, and has become a Canucks fan thanks to the strong influence of my mom and step dad. They bought him a Canucks jersey a couple of years ago.

Family can be cruel. My most hated teams in order are Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal.

He's an Oiler, Canuck and Habs fan

I have three boys. Fortunately, the other two turned out right.

The key here is to keep having kids until it works in your favour ... or to stop before it doesn't.
