Born in Calgary 1966. Lived here most of the time, but also Nova Scotia for a year, Saskatchewan for a year, and UK for 4 years.
My great great grandfather (on one side) came from Scotland and after a brief stay in Tennessee moved to Purple Springs AB in 1899.
My great grandmother moved to Taber AB with her family in 1906.
Other great grandparents came to Taber in 1908 from Germany via North Dakota.
On my dad's side grandpa was born in Raymond AB, and grandma moved there from the US.
So anywhere from 3-5 generations of Albertans in the tree.

Born here in 85, but I lived a year in lethbridge, and two in Halifax. So I've lived here for 27/30 years.

Lived here for 2 years (1985-1986) and moved back again in 1989 when I was in Grade 2 and haven't left. My sister was born here in 85, I'll have to find out which hospital. I think maybe the General.
Born in NWT and the family moved to Calgary on 80. Moved to Nfld in 89 for a few years and then back to Calgary. Left again in 96 and have never been able to get back. Visit every so often but not enough.
I have now lived in Vancouver longer than anywhere else in my life but I still consider Calgary home.

Except for a couple of short term moves I've been here 35 years this May but for some reason I still call Nova Scotia home. Probably sounds weird but I never really liked this city much, first 11-15 years I was only here because of work, last 20 or so I stayed because of the kids. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, for a large city it's clean, good people, property taxes aren't outrageous but for me it just can't call it home.
I blame it on no ocean.

Born in Redcliff, moved up to Calgary when I was 10. Been here ever since. Going on 25 years now. Can't see myself moving away from Calgary TBQH. 80% of my family are here, Plus, IMO, it's the perfect size city, not too big, not too small.
I was technically born in Ottawa while my father was training with Shell in Houston, but we all came to Calgary soon after I was born in 1966. In 1986 I went away to school in London, Ontario, then to Vancouver in 1989. I lived in Penticton for three years and returned to Calgary for good in 1998.
I went to Loius Riel Jr High where I met Aeneas. We both turn 50 this summer. I have seen so many changes in Calgary, and love the city that it has become.
I can remember living in Southwood, Lake Bonavista, Oakridge, Millarville, Springbank Hill, Hillhurst and West Hillhurst.
I was born in Wainwright (mom was an army brat) and we moved here when I was a baby (Forest Lawn I'm told ).
We moved around the province a lot for a few years (Red Deer, Lloydminster, Edmonton ). We came back to Calgary when I was 3, and lived with my grandparents so dad could go to school.
When he was done he got a job, and we moved to Strathmore. Went to school there, and when I moved out in 1990 I returned here to Calgary.

My dad was born in Calgary in 1911. At the time my grandfather worked for the CPR and had a house where the Harry Hayes building is now. His family homesteaded north of Hanna in the 1890s. They came from Wales via Minnesota and supposedly one step ahead of the law after some chicanery at the Chicago World's Fair.
Myself, I was born in Vancouver and raised on the west coast so the rain doesn't bother me. I moved to Calgary in 76 as the town was booming and I had a job and raised my family there. I stayed until 2002. It's a fine city and I have a lot of good memories from there but as I'm getting old, I like the warmer clime.

Born and raised in Medicine Hat. Moved to Calgary in 2003 for University and have been here ever since. I had a lot of family here as my parents grew up in Calgary and moved two the Hat a couple years before I was born. Coming to the city so much as a child I knew I would move here as an adult. Love this city
Born here in 83, we moved to an acreage by a small town about 50 min south of here in 92. I moved back to Calgary in 02. Love this city!
