Also important to note we are 2nd in the league for the fewest times shorthanded at 94. Only the Hurricanes at 92 have taken fewer.

But we are 1st in total time shorthanded at 148:50, over a minute less on the PK that the Hurricanes. It's another thing to love about this team, how disciplined they are and another reason why we're improving.

I believe so. With a Flames' regulation win, the Flames and Coyotes would be tied in points, games played, and ROW. The next tiebreaker is points earned in head-to-head games. If the Flames win in regulation, they will have 3 points against the Coyotes compared to the Coyotes 2 points against the Flames.

It seems to me they are playing with a lot more jump in the last 2 games. I wonder if it's a team New Years resolution for 2016.

It makes a huge difference when you get the first goal and then be able to dictate the play. Didn't happen in either the Ducks or Kings game.

Went back and checked. It was the LA Kings game back on April 9th which clinched us a play off spot. The only penalty of the entire game went to Trevor Lewis in the 1st period. We didn't take a single penalty.

The 2nd wildcard spot is only 5 points ahead with the Flames having a game in hand on Nashville...Given the talk of how terribad the division is that surprised me, lots of season left I wouldn't be surprised if a pacific team is in the convo considering the dramatic turn around of a few teams

Stamkos is a very unhappy player I have no doubt about his skill and what he can bring to a team. I don't want to see him in Calgary though.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but it's certainly worth noting.

During a commercial break in the third period, Mike Cvik received a standing ovation from the fans for his 28 year career.

We're gaining on them in the goal differential tiebreaker too. We're at -18 and they're at -14

5-0 Flames GG

It shown on the TV after the commercial break. Real classy move nonetheless.

Man if I could hire Leo DeCaprio and his Inception team to get Hartley to try Gaudreau Bennett Ferland, I would.

Karri Ramo updated stats:
15-12-1
2.54 GAA
.913 SV%

Average but solid starter numbers. Which is basically what this team needed to succeed from the start of the season.

So, props to the guy in the GDT predicting some goals from the sequential line. Well done!

In the lasst 22 games he has one of the best stats.

Its the first 9 that are dragging his overall stats down.

Last 22

Sv% .934
Ga. 2.29

Was going to mention he's been above average since mid November.

Wasn't sure what the actual numbers were. Those are some pretty glowing stats!

Mind bottling actually how the team, especially Ramo, have had such a stark turnaround in play from the first 20 games compared to the last 20.
