For anyone blaming the defense (which I agree hasn't been good) - you'd have to say the Flames defense has been historically bad. Since 97-98, the lowest team save percentage has been 879 for Tampa in 99-00, the Flames are at 868. And that Tampa team had Dan Cloutier as their #1.

So you'd have to be saying the Flames are the worst defensive team in nearly 20 years to say this isn't a goal tending issue.

Goaltending is 90% mental. The other 50% is hard work and proper positioning. Here's hoping Ramo has his head in a good space tonite.

Goaltending is bad.

But Calgary has had some Dallas Eakins swarm-level own zone screwups.

All-World displays of offensive and neutral zone turnovers in poor positions.

What are Andrei Zyuzin and Anders Eriksson up to these days? I recall Zarley Zalapski was interested in making a comeback, hes only 47.

Apparently Schlemko was a more integral piece than it appeared at first glance.

Who would have thought with 3 goalies at the start we might need to trade for a goalie, even with the defense playing not up to snuff. Who'd be a good target with decent stats and not breaking the bank.

I still wish Ron Tugnett was playing.

65 goalies have played in the NHL this year

Flames goalies sit 61, 62 and 63rd in terms of save %, only infront of the legend Eddie Lack and Alex Stalock

With the streak of games that he's getting, I guess we know it wasn't Hartley's idea to send him down.
