Snowfall warning for the Banff resorts.

https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?ab27

Louise apparently posted on Instagram that they're expecting 50cm in 48 hours.

Slight exaggeration, as the snow forecasting I see suggests low 40's, but that's still pretty damned good for November. I'm thinking I'll head up Saturday, if anyone else feels like going.

Kicking Horse too, up the 95.

Fernie is almost double the distance vs Kimberly.

Either way they don't open until mid-Dec either.

I might. Was thinking of checking out Burstall this weekend but sounds like it might be melted by then. And my touring boots are probably going into the shop anyway.

Teton Gravity Research just posted a sweet go pro video on their FB of someone getting in a few turns off of Highway 93 over the weekend. Face shots!

SSV reports 18cm overnight, LL reports 12, still snowing in both locales. This is going to be pretty fun early season.

Avoid the sharks...

Can confirm: it did in fact snow at Louise a bit.

That's the Whitehorn patio - on a related note, I can also confirm that the bacon ceasars remain delicious.

Yeah, so, you're in luck - it just snowed again, 43cm overnight. This is just crazy. Have to pray that it stays below freezing, the only thing that can screw this up now is a weird prolonged inversion with rain.

In case any of you are trying to decide which option is better, Sunshine Card or the cheap Costco tickets, I just threw this together for my dad cause he's stubborn as a mule and would not believe me that the card is a much better deal as long as you make it to the 2nd free day:

Based on the assumption of $92 lift tickets.

God what a frustrating man.

note: once you use your last free day, switch back to the costco tickets.

I don't really understand why anyone skis at Sunshine anyway, honestly.

Louise and Sunshine are both mediocre imo. Ones just half an hour closer.

I'm not a fan for the most part but they do have some good slack-country, and you can get a cheap gondola and single-lift ticket.

Not if you factor in the gondola time...
