Only potential way to move Hiller right now is to move him to Chicago for Bickell. Chicago would be all over that as they would lose Bickells last year which would allow them to sign Shaw and Kruger. However I don't see us doing this as we'd be bringing in a player who doesn't want to be here and we have cap issues of our own.

We are going to have to hope for an injury and some ltir space to open up if we are to move Hiller. Only other option that I can see is to demote him to Stockton then work with a team in the Swiss league to pick up some of his contract.

Bloody shame that we can't move him but goalie market has always been fickle.

Why in the blue hell would the Hawks want Hiller? They have Crawford and Darling.

Those Tre comments emphasize this is not how he wanted this to turn out. It wasn't about 3 guys fighting for 2 spots. He had deal in place for Hiller probably, signed Ramo, and then the trade fell through.

They want to move Bickell desperately as he has one year after this and they need to sign Kruger and shaw. Having Bickell on books for next year makes it hard to do so. They could bury Darling in minors and have Hiller as backup. So deal a guy with a year left on his contract for a guy with an expiring deal to give cap flexibility for next year.

And if the Flames made that trade, THEY would have Bickell on the books next year.

Makes no sense for either team.
