It wasn't actually stolen but taken to be restored by Chip Foose and a band of merry mechanics ?

Or are you the next star of "Pimp my Ride"...

I've always wanted to see a fully functioning aquarium in a Ford Explorer...

I can only say this much as there are settlement discussions ongoing with a third party.

After my Ford was stolen I took my other car "Shakira" to a third party (bailment). It appears the thief of the Ford located Shakira and conned the third party into giving the car to him.

Both cars were recovered and went to impound for fingerprinting. The Ford seems to be in fine condition, but Shakira was joy-rided to hell and back. Three people were pulled over and arrested while driving Shakira. The investigation continues. Likely it is all connected.

I want to thank everyone for the support I have received - friends, CP community, officers, insurance adjusters and security providers. A special thanks to pylon - I recommend his advice any time you have questions about the automotive industry. Thank you Aeneas for concern and looking for Shakira.

It has been a difficult week, but we are doing okay, and justice and restitution are in the works.

If you want to hear the whole story, come to the CP Live Draft . . .

Glad to hear you're at least getting some closure and things are nearing the end!

My truck is still MIA two weeks in. Proceeding with a total loss claim apparently. Has anyone gone down this road before? How much negotiation do I really have? I've started looking at some used vehicles and it's a shame how much people trash their cars. As a single owner from new I put my vehicle down as "excellent shape" but after looking at a few used ones I can now safely say not only was my truck in excellent shape it was probably in AAA excellent shape compared to most.

Bump. We just had a break in at our house and my wife's dark blue 2009 BMW 328 4 door X drive. License TEC 837.

Hopefully everyone can help keep an eye open for it... I'm more pissed about our broken in back door. Lowlifes.

The BMW will probably be abandoned when they run out of gas and are done with it.

Luckily my wife forgot to fill the tank and there was only about 1/8 tank left.

The car is pretty much stock, looks black unless in direct light (then looks blue) and is filthy. Two car seats in the back (one booster on driver's side, one attached toddler seat on passenger side, both Safety 1st complete air protect). Right rear turn signal is an aftermarket replacement so it looks slightly different than the left one.

Thanks to everyone keeping an eye out for it. I'm hunting myself every time I'm out.

Car looks like this:

Update: police found the car abandoned in Sunalta, sunroof wide open, car destroyed and cleared out of everything. Stolen license plate attached to car.

So that probably means these bungholes have another stolen car with my plates on them. TEC837 if anyone is keen eyed enough.

Good riddance I suppose, I hope these jackarses were stupid enough to leave something incriminating in the car.
