To be fair, they have had a few reasons to complain, especially when a league that was supposed to be cracking down on head shots called elbowing a guy's head into a stanchion at full force a "hockey play". And don't forget we were pretty vocal about Gelinas' should-have-been Cup winning goal in 2004 as well. Bad officiating kind of has that effect on a fan base.

I don't mean to throw this thread off topic, but just a quick point on this.

That Chara hit on Pacioretty was far from a headshot. It was a hockey play with a very unfortunate outcome.

I won't post more than this one thing on that "hockey play" to avoid going off topic like you said. Just please watch the video of it and pay attention to Chara's elbow. It's all over YouTube. Now, I'll let everyone get back to discussing how the Ducks overpaid for a declining 2nd line C.

Most Flames fans were surprised that we even made the playoffs. The Ducks were the #1 seed in the conference. They were supposed to slap the Flames silly… but they were not supposed to get slapped silly by Chicago.

No glass houses involved.

The series went 7 games and 2 of Chicago's wins were in OT.
