Yay Hunter Smith! I guess he goes to the AHL next year then. Nothing more he can do in Windsor. They're going full tear down too I suppose.

Yeah you can draft 21 year old Euros and 21 and 22 year olds who re-enter the draft because their team didn't sign them.

How was Merkley? Shannon was pumping his tires. Seemed to make some good passes and had a good sequence in the Oshawa zone from my limited viewing.

Let's hope this trend continues throughout their NHL careers.

No problem, BTW if you want an example of a 21 year old that might get drafted in this year's draft look at Jiri Fronk. Ranked 151st North American skater by CSS. He is considered a "Euro" because he didn't play a complete season in North America as an 18, 19 or 20 year old.

Congrats to Hunter Smith. Good to see a Flames prospect learning how to be a winner before the NHL.

Same here, plus he has a good head on his shoulders. He was the nicest of the players that I talked to at the development camp last year. He'll easily be a fan favourite when he makes the NHL.

Red from Shawshank Redemption might give you a little insight into your 'hope'.
