For me it's not so much as counting the Flames out as much as the learning curve against this Ducks team and the short period of time they need to do it in is pretty substantial.

The Ducks have effectively shut down the Flames even when we saw the Flames play better. It's not counting them out as much as it is acknowledging the Ducks are extremely formidable.

I want the Flames to even the series, I hope they do. But everything my eyes are telling me says this is simply too much. There's hope and belief and then there's writing on the wall. The Ducks are that good. And that is no slight on the Flames.

The experience gained is a boon for the future of this core. I feel like this core is very akin to the young Blackhawks core that went to the western final and then lost to a more experienced and geared for a title red wings. Things are looking good for the future no matter how this series ends.

This is the game I've pegged them winning all series. If they're gonna get one, it'll be tonight.

I think they found their niche in game 2 and now have a better idea how to play against the Ducks. 4-2 Flames, with a late empty netter from Colborne after a big Ducks push to tie it.

Win or lose tonight, win or lose the series, the important thing (other than winning) is that the Flames learn what the Canucks never did: in the playoffs you need an extra gear, and when it's really on the line an extra gear after that. The beatings the Flames have taken from Anaheim - who sure look like they have all the gears they need - should serve as an excellent lesson. The Flames only really lose if they fail to learn anything here, and I don't think Hartley will let that happen.

GO FLAMES GO!!!

If they lose, they (a) learned to win a series (b) looked at what it takes to play against an elite team with elite forwards. They'll have seen the road to get into the POs, the way to win a series and what they need to beat in order to forward.

All good, for a team expected to be a lottery team.

We're undefeated at the dome..GFG!

how many teams have held serve at home in the first 4 games in series? it often happens. I don't think its a stretch at all to think the Flames can pull even by the weekend. I still don't think we win this series because we're in tough to win away but I think we make it interesting this week. our offence through the first two games was unsustainable, especially after how we were able to pile up 3+ goals agains the Ducks in several game this season. the home crowd will change everything the next two games.

stupid that people will give up when all the Flames have done all season is defy and overcome the odds. #### Getzlaf, #### Perry, #### Kesler. we can shut them down and win.

My 10 keys to winning this game:

1) Brodie-Schlemko. NO to Engelland / Brodie
2) Keep odd man rushes limited. Keeping the game 0-0 is the best way to find holes in Anaheim's defenses rather than trying to make a comeback.
3) Play disciplined Flames hockey. No dumb cross-checks (Bennett), hooks, or high sticks.
4) Brodie, Russell, Wideman can't be getting all their point shots blocked.
5) Get bodies in front of Anderson on the PP and crash hard
6) Monahan needs to be sharp.
7) A good game from Ramo
8) Have right wingers in the right wing to retrieve pucks. I would play Drew Shore again.
9) Pressure Getzlaf and Perry - trust your teammates defensively
10) A little bit of good ol' luck, please?

Can't beleive how much hate Engelland is getting. After all the workload he picked up when Gio went down.

Flames' jerseys in the office today:

1 - Heritage Classic
1 - Retro
1 - 2004 Home
1 - Current Third
1 - Current Away

There are no Anaheim Jerseys

Therefore, the score tonight will be 5-0 Flames.

I did something I did all post-season in the Van series. I played a guy who chose the Ducks last night. Score 1-0 Calgary 1min left in 3rd period.

In case you forgot how good this Flames team can be...

Less than three hours until puck drop... I can't make it to the game tonight but I hope it's louder than it was in Game 6 against Vancouver. GFG!

Eff the 2 points and just focus on winning the 7 games series like they have done in the regular season! Also eff the block shots and start playing the body on defensive coverage. Let's win this one!

thiss.. this is what we're capable of. there's no reason they can't rack it up like this at home tonight. force the ducks to play our game. let's see Gaudreau not be refused a goal just like this and Monahan sniping beauties top corner again. no excuses. #neverquit !
