Love this quote from Ferly..

Quote:
"My job is to give them hard minutes," he stated after Friday's dust-up at Rogers Arena. "I want them to know when I'm out there."
And his fellow teammates appreciate him too...

Quote:
"I’m happy he’s on our side," Jones said afterwards. "He runs around and finishes his checks. You’ve always got to keep your head up..

"The coaches have been high on him from the get-go, so for him to come in and seize the opportunity is huge. Some players get that opportunity and they’re afraid to make mistakes but he’s full-on, playing hard and it’s huge for our team."

Why would the linesman ask Hamhuis to help Dorsett , when Stajan is getting pound on while his back is on the ice ?

In my 30 plus years as a fan I have never heard such a lame excuse , an NHL linesman doing something like that is unheard of , these guys are NHL refs & linesman in the playoffs.
They are chosen from amongst their group as the best of the best to work the playoffs.
They don't go "I have Bollig you go stop that fight in the corner"

Can't wait to hear you in Sask. Calgary the Dome is gonna be EPIC !!
GFG ! NO QUIT!

Flames need to score the first goal of the game if they're going to have a chance this series. The comeback method is most definitely not sustainable in the postseason.

Spoiler!
Many of us have been saying that Ferland is one of the most important prospects in the system for a long time (not patting myself on the back, just making a reference - there were lots of us, and we aren't right yet). There were two main reasons:

1) he is big and tough and fast. You just can't have too much of that.

2) he also has hands. He showed it in junior. Then, after a while, he showed it in the AHL, until he was derailed by the concussion.

I am as optimistic about him as a prospect as I have ever been - probably more so. He is already starting to demonstrate, and pay dividends with respect to point #1.

I firmly believe that, in time, he will also deliver on point #2

This kid could be a beauty.

Well that makes my last post...moot.

But I have a question...is there something happening downtown today?

I have a real hard time believing that there is enough traffic on a Sunday morning to cause anything to get "stuck' .....just odd.
