Don't know stadium, but assuming they have to be good seats.

Stadium has great sightlines from everywhere. Lower bowl is pretty civilized and lots of Flames fans likely so you'll be fine.

If the Canucks get taken out in the first round by the Flames I imagine that will spell disaster for 2015-16 sales as the apathy seems to be growing.

I don't know what it was like in person, but on TV I found the atmosphere at Rogers Arena terrible. There was very little chanting or noise other than Vancouver's goal and a couple hits. There were points you could hear the players talking on the ice it was so quiet. I'm positive I heard a player shouting "Shut up" and someone else responding "You shut the #### up." The building reminded me of a library. Wait until game three! Vancouver players are not going to be able to function with all the noise!

For a Canadian team, that is pretty pathetic. Lets all laugh?
|
Not surprised at all. Aside from being classless rioters when they lose important games, they have the biggest bandwagon fans in all of pro sports. They only care about their teams when the are the top team in the league.
I think the fans over there know that we're on the rise and they're on the decline and so they don't want to put themselves through the emotional torture.

I said it in the PGT, but I'll repeat it here.
What a great game to be at. I was in 316 row 1, so all three goals were scored in the opposite end from me. I've been to about 10 games, including 3 playoff games, at Rogers Arena and that was easily the loudest I've ever heard the fans. They needlessly cheered every hit, needlsy chanted Lack's name after every save, needlessly booed every offside and penalty, and had a Hiiiillllleeerrrr chant going most of the game. That said, after both of Calgary's goals you could hear a pin drop in the arena. After the 2nd goal 1/4 of the arena was out the door before the puck was dropped with 30 seconds left.
Even hits that were glances they stood up for. It was pretty annoying. Shots that were right in Lack's logo had the E-Dee chant going hardcore. It's not as obnoxious as the Luuuuu chant, but there is no need to go ape Corsi crazy because a shot hit him in the middle.
I fully expect Calgary to be much louder, especially if we have a 2-0 series lead.

Awesome game at Rogers last night. If you sit in the club section the tickets are too expensive for the idiots. I paid $120 less than face value for row 9, and sat with nice albeit older fans who love the sport and know the teams. It was very cool. One f- you on the way to the stadium and one person give me the finger after I left. It was quite civil and lots of flames fans in attendance.

After the first minute, the atmosphere was the equivalent of a regular season game in there.
I think Vancouver fans are arguably the most unappreciative fans in the league if we're being completely objective. They've had all those playoff experiences and games over the last 15 years, and the fans barely show any emotion. Every other Canadian city has very loud and passionate fans.

I love your enthusiasm, but at the same time, I am willing to bet you are too young to remember the Saddledome for the 1995 and 1996 playoffs.
Hint: It was no better than a regular season game in Carolina.

So attack end for the Flames @ Rogers would be the 101/301 end?

It was quite loud in there last night during intros and the first period. They sure do love their surrender towels. As the game wore on the crowd settled in and the atmosphere was pretty lame. Other than the irritating Edd-ie, Edd-ie chants, the fans around us only perked up in response to our Go Flames Go chants. The Canucks first goal, mystifyingly, took the crowd right out of it.
For the most part we were treated well. Things heated up a bit on the concourse during the second intermission, and we were getting a few F Yous and Shut Ups after the Flames goals. No incidents after the game. In fact, a number of folks were quite gracious in defeat and apologized for any heckling we might have received. It seems a lot of Nucks fans have a complex about their reputation as the worst fans in the league.
Flames fans going on Friday will be fine. But it helps to have a big guy in a Mexican wrestling mask as part of your group.

It also helps that when the Flames score if you simply stand up, cheer and high five your buddies. Don't be the guy who turns around and points at the crowd while lifting your jersey 3 inches off your chest. There aren't a lot of things more agitating than watching that, whether you are the home team or the away team. Most people don't mind you cheering for your team, but when you start taunting, things can get out of hand.

After having lived in Vancouver for a few years a while back, and experienced the arrogance and obnoxiousness of the Canuck fans at GM Place after the Flames got shelled a few times, I wish I was there last night. Must've been an amazing feeling for Flames fans in the arena when Russell's goal went in.
That being said, it'll be even better now living 2 blocks away from the Red Mile when we are celebrating Flames wins.

The apathy towards the Canucks in the Lower Mainland right now is laughable.
During the first round of 2011, there were car flags, jerseys, hats, store fronts decorated in blue and green, etc. These days, you wouldn't know the Canucks were in the playoffs. I love it. It's the worst Canadian market for hockey right now. Even Oilers fans have more interest in their team than Canucks fans... that's pretty sad.

For those looking for tickets on the secondary market, Craigslist has a bunch right around face, some more and some less. Many can be emailed if necessary for those worried about collecting them before the game.

I really would not trust Craigslist at all. Would much rather pay a bit more and go through Stubhub and Ticketmaster.

I wish I would have known how little Canuck fans would want to go to the game before buying my tickets. I would have spent more time looking for tickets I wanted vs. just buying the first ones that popped up. Oh well still pumped to be there. Will be in red with my wife cheering the boys!

Went out to the bars last night here in Vancouver and there were a ton of Flames fans cheering as loud as could be. I received ZERO harassment, but I also had a 6'6 270 pound built as could be friend with me sporting a flames jersey.
