Jameson's on 17th. I get why they did it. A new party is going to spend a lot more money then a group that has been sitting there for five hours.

For Wed, we called Jamieson's on 17th to try and book a reservation. They didn't take the reservation and said just come before 6 we'll have a spot. Came at 5:15, place is packed. Hostess said the place was booked weeks ago (probably not but okay)
Try The Pint, they are packed to the brim. The 1410, half the tables have reservation signs for 5 pm but no people in them.

Ended up at Watchmen's and despite having heard bad things about the place I actually quite liked it. Wings were on steroids too. Ended up on the video the Flames put out about the Red Mile for Game 1 too.

Going to the Bear and Kilt for Game 2. Got a reservation so it's all gravy baby.

OJs Marda Loop was surprisingly a great spot. They have a projector in the back that they pull down and put the audio on. It got busy and there was a waiting list, but not until like 7.

We're down at Halo now in the lounge (they took over the old BPs in Avenida). Place looks great and 2 for 1 appetizers. Can't beat that.

Yeah, if I remember correctly they have at least 2 or 3 large screen tv's with small screens at the booths also. I usually go see UFC events there and the atmosphere is always fun. Not to mention, they have a pretty damn good beer selection.

FYI, I was at Shark Club for the last two games and, to me, it was relatively quiet. Walked in at 8, both Sunday and Tuesday and had no problem getting a seat. A lot of Hab fans the first night, so by the second they left and the place was half full.

Anyone have any ideas for downtown on Saturday? I've called National, Flames Central, Pint, Roosevelt, Watchmans and Jamesons and they are all either booked, or don't take reservations.

That's too bad about the pint in Calgary. I went to the pint in Vancouver before game 2 and it was awesome. Free wings with every pint during happy hour and the place was buzzing.

Just called Flames Central to make a reservation for tomorrow night, and turns out they are NOT showing the game tomorrow night. Someone managed to book a concert. Clearly they had a lot of faith the Flames would go far...

Game 1 had another event going on too IIRC, I believe it was the TimeRaiser.

How long ago were these concerts booked? Do you just keep every night open for May and June hoping they are still playing? We didn't even know the schedule for round two until last week. I'm not sure you can run until a few days before it started. Even then we didn't know if game 3 was going to be Tuesday or Wednesday. It's tough to schedule everything when there are so many moving parts.
