No Diaz?

I'd rather have Bollig. He might not do a whole lot in his 5-7 minutes a game, but at least he doesn't look like a deer in the headlights. Both are pretty useless though.
Ideally though, we're rolling a bottom line of Granlund-Jooris-Shore, though, with Engelland handling goon duties. JMO Or if Healthy, toss Byron in there on a wing.

Gio comes back and scores the game winner in Game 7 SCF series vs. the Tampa Bay Lightening. Everything will be right in the world.

#Flames Mark Giordano skated on his own today and although he's not close, he didn't rule out a return to the line-up this season.

I miss the playoffs and absolutely useless injury updates. I'm actually kind of sad we won't see an LA-Flames playoff matchup, because Hartley vs. Sutter quotes would be absolute gold.

So Gio's at least out of the sling.
Did the Flames send down every recently recalled fwd except Bennett, or did they only send down Poirier?

The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned forwards Emile Poirier and David Wolf, and defencemen Brett Kulak and John Ramage to the Adirondack Flames of the American Hockey League.

If the team can last long enough for a Gio return, I'm on the cup wagon. Corsi be damned.

Glad to hear rehab is going well for giordano. Nothing would be be sweeter than for the flames to go on an unbelievable run and gio healing at a miraculous rate just in time to play in the cup final.

I look forward to the next 3-4 pages of a tedious back and forth explaining why, with many incorrect replies by others in between.

#Flames captain Mark Giordano on possibility of perhaps returning late in playoffs: "I'm trying to stay in shape and condition. I have to meet with the surgeon a bunch more times before that becomes a reality, but I feel good. I feel like hopefully the rehab is going better than expected, but it's still a bit early for that. I really have to start gaining my strength and stuff back. Hopefully we go really deep and then we have a decision to make."

I like Giordano's optimism. Both on being able to play again this season and the Flames going deep enough to make it happen.

For every golden quote from each coach we'd have another guy day-to-day thanks to the LA Lumberjacks. By the end of the series we'd be depleting our ECHL line-up.

Treliving:
Hathaway really earned his way to contract.
Showed up at training camp as second fittest only to Giordano.
Been one of Adirondack's best players
plays a real hard nose game. really earned coaches trust.
priority to add to the RW side, not a lot of depth there
lots of Lance Bouma attributes to him
mentions the PK
Gillies - will see how next couple of days play out after coming down from a high
all 4 Flames prospect played well

Have you also forgotten the sweet setup Raymond made to Hudler on the game winner the other night?
That said, I absolutely support the idea of Bennett being tried on left wing, with Backlund/Colborne.
Can't wait for Wednesday

Treliving on Bennett:
played out every scenario with Sam Bennett including burining a year before calling him up
if Bennett earns it no problem burning a year
Bob makes every decision and if he earns it he will play, if he doesn't he will wait for the next opportunity

first priority with Mark is proper rehab
possible return in the playoffs is very far down the road
