Flames would have the tie-breaker with 42 ROW.

In game 82 last year, some rookie named Gaudreau made his long awaited NHL debut in a meaningless game. Amazing what can happen in one year.
In game 82 this year, some rookie named Bennett makes his long awaited NHL debut (again, in a meaningless game).
Can't wait to see where we end up at the end of the 2015/16 season...

We're tied in ROW right now.
We win, they lose = we get the tie breaker. We would have also had the next tie breaker as well but since they're 2 up only 2 pts earned and 0 for them can happen now.

No sir, we have the same amount of ROW, however we won the season series

I cannot believe that the Flames can finish the season with 99 points. Even for this fan who thought they would make the playoffs or in my beginning of the season prediction, barely miss on the last day, that's an incredible accomplishment.

He hasn't played a game as a flame yet and he's probably my favourite flame.

Even if the Flames win in a SO, and both clubs finish with 41 ROW, the Flames hold the next tiebreak by earning more points than the Canucks in head to head games this season.
None of which matters, as the Canucks will probably beat the Oilers tonight.

Not if the Flames win in regulation. That would give the Flames 42 ROW to the Canucks 41.

They both have the same ROW right now which is the first tie breaker after fewest games played.

Really excited for this one ... 9 PM puck drop, big THANK YOU to the league for giving us Euro fans a few of those every now and then can't wait to see what Sam can do. Hopefully Hartley has him and Gaudreau together on a line.

Those scratches all make tons of sense. Especially Wideman, Hudler and Russell. They were all abused in the Kings game. Russell not so much but blocking all those shots this year, he deserves a day off.

Surprised Gaudreau isn't just an automatic scratch like Monahan and everyone else.

Guess they want Gaudreau to get points for Calder race.

Like CarlW said, probably because the team wants to help Johnny secure the Calder.
