Lost in all of this. The Oilers clinched 28th place. Only a lotto win will get them a new McEichel!

You just know the Kings are going to bring everything and then some to the table Thursday. It's going to be a fracking War like no other.

That Monahan goal was something special.

Can't believe that I was hoping Lindholm fell to us. I'm an idiot.

Cant disagree with him too much because it looked like the flames were either nervous or out of gas in the last 2 periods.

We were all over them in the first and should have put them away then but Smith stood on his head. Hopefully they wont play the last two periods this way against the Kings on Thursday. Nice to win though

I went to check out the Kings PGT on HFBoards..

This team does not deserve to be in a playoff spot. Calgary and Winnipeg deserve it more given the effort they've put in and how they've done it without key players in their lineups.

Screw any excuses people have to make. For a team of this caliber to not qualify for the playoffs is unacceptable. A team with a winning pedigree shouldn't be in this position.

I hope the Flames bounce us so the Sharks don't have anything to get excited about.
I especially enjoyed this picture...

Spoiler!

EDIT: Oops, this was supposed to be in the OOT thread, but either way, I'm sure people will enjoy it here too

Mono's game winning goal was pure sex.

Such an all-star play, god damn!

Great job tonight! They needed to focus and get it done, and they did.

Also good to see the team recover after Hiller's mistake.

Thursday will be fun!

I think any combination of 2 points gained by the flames or lost by the Kings

Flames need to earn 2 points in any form over the final 2 games to clinch a playoff spot. That is if the Kings get 4 points in their final 2. If they get 3, Flames need to earn 1. If the Kings get 2 points in their final 2, Flames don't need to earn any.

Flames win or tie the Kings on Thursday and they are in the playoffs.

There are no ties. If the Flames lose in OT or SO they don't clinch

Loving the wins, but how good would Gio be right now for the Flames? The defence looks a bit tired lately, so I'll forgive them if they get a scrambly at times. They've still done an admirable job.
