If he hadn't been with the team for as long as he did while injured, I say he should practice a bit first. But also good to get the nerves out on the road as opposed to game 1 being at home Tuesday. See where the Flames are after Tuesday in the race, and see how Sam is going before worrying about those last 2.

Lighting a fire under the likes of Colborne and Backlund is not a bad thing either.

I'm not a fan of throwing Sam out there st this time of year at center. Any mistakes he makes will be magnified exponentially. Let's take advantage of his skillset without burdening him with center responsibilities. That's what the 2011 Bruins did.

I'm hoping we put out something like:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler
Bennett-Backlund-Shore
Bouma-Colborne-Byron/Jooris/Jones
Ferland/Byron-Stajan-Jones/Jooris

Shore plays C mainly even though he's been rocking RW. I just feel their Styles of game mesh well, could be some instant chemisrty between two very fast, crash and bangers with a load of skill.

As much as i think Raymond and Colborne need to sit, i'd agree with you that Grandlund will likely be the odd man out.

Oh I agree. I was only responding to the question of who people thought would be scratched for Bennett.

Backlund even though his production has dried up is still as defensively sound as he has ever been. Something the coaches won't want out of the line up.
