Man my emotions are like a yo-yo with this team. Was feeling down after getting trounced by Minnie - bit now feeling so much better after this win tonite and being back in a playoff spot. Thirteen more days of this.

Its this kind of thing that is absolute garbage and makes the league a joke. One of the top teams in the league losing perennially to a team that shouldn't even be in the race.
This is textbook Preds throwing games in the hope that the Kings won't be in the playoffs. Hutton was just ****ing abysmal in net.

sure, they won tonight. But the season is over, there is absolutely no way that this team can overcome Giordano being out, trading away secondary scoring in Glencross and getting less than exceptional goaltending from the Ramo/Hiller duo. That 9-game losing streak will be the death of this team and the writing has been on the wall since day 1. Blessed be our Corsi overlords who pity on us for questioning the ways of advanced stats. Unfortunately our toe-drags-per-game stat was simply not high enough to compete. May we forever bow down to Bettman playoff rigging.

The comments on Hf by certain Oiler fans are not just ill informed, but embarrassing.
One of them talks about the Flames having the worst forward group in the NHL. But I wouldn't trade the Flames forwards for The Oilers forwards even if they were to throw in their first round pick this year.
