I usually refrain from it myself, but tonight was pretty noticeable. The only other time this season I have been truly frustrated with the officiating was the Ranger game.

I think it's warranted tonight.

Annoying to know that the Kings will be tied with us again by Monday night. They're playing the Coyotes, so I'd say that's pretty much an automatic win for them.

I agree. Especially on Poirier's breakaway in New York that wasn't called anything.

Oh well, time to go home, get some rest. Get back in the win column with a 5 game home stand.

What annoys me is the refs could have set the tone very early on. Colborne got blatantly tripped in front of both refs, and no call.

Then finally after two or three more stick infractions they make a call against Colorado.

The too many men call against the Flames was a complete phantom call. Jooris intentionally lets the puck go by him to avoid the penalty and yet they blow it down. Garbage call and it cost the Flames when Tanguay scores that cheap goal...

/end rant

Meh. Can't win them all, don't need to win them all.

Terrible reffing, hot opponent, not the best night of goaltending.

Next.

I'm not defending it, but the refs have been allowing at lot more of interference/holding lately. Honestly, I'd like to see Calgary take advantage of the pick and roll if the refs aren't going to call interference.

It is stupid how the one time they call interference, it was probably the weakest instance of it in the game.

According to sportsclubstats.com, we're at 85% chance to make it now,...and if we go 7-6 to get to 95 points, we'll have a 85% chance of making it, given the trending of the other teams in the race and all the formulas.

Big stretch now with 5 at home.

St Louis (5-4-1), Philly (3-4-3), Columbus (4-6-0), Colorado (7-3-0), and Dallas (5-4-1).

Colorado the best team over their last 10, so hopefully our quest for revenge against them makes the difference.

Flames had 3 pp's, the Avs 1. Avs 1-1 on pp, Flames 0-3. The difference was capitalizing on special teams, not the calls. Regardless of the game, one can't expect more than 3x the pp opportunities than the home team gets. Ever.

Even though they weren't as sharp as we'd like and were probably exhausted, they left it all on the ice and gave the Avs a good fight. They could have had a lot of excuses to quit on us after the 2nd period but they refused to do so.

Didn't get to see the game thread, but I kind of caught Cox talking about the flames with the goalie pulled. Did he really say we haven't allowed an empty net goal? He knows that's wrong though, right? What a moron

After watching some others teams play in the last coupla of days I have noticed an overall loosening of the rule book by the Refs around the league.
What bothers me more is some of the weak calls that are made after missing some more blatantly obvious ones.
great effort to end the third , a little puck luck and it's tied
We lost..it sucks..move along.

Apparently he misspoke, we haven't been scored against by a team with an empty net.
