Buffalo is a serious hockey market with good fans in the Eastern Conference (so he doesn't beat up on us multiple times per season). I'll take them.

Absolutely not. But there probably is some GM out there who would, and worse yet, there's a good chance there are two of them. You just don't want to get involved in that kind of bidding war.

Would love to see Columbus get him. Mainly because they're the only bottom feeder I feel would make good use of acquiring him off the bat, cause they play with the right attitude and already have some great young pieces. They just play hard a lot of nights. These other teams have tanked SO hard to get a chance at picking him, they wouldn't even know how to turn it around, not for a while.

Yeah, I'd also be fine with CBJ.

We have an island? Where's the beach?

I'm always the last to know.

Columbus, the George Costanza of hockey. Everyone likes them (or at least don't hate them) but they don't have a hope in hell.

Poor McDavid, if he goes there he'll probably get hit by a bus or catch ebola or something.

Couple thoughts here:

Columbus would be great - I've always had a soft spot for that team and I think it'd be awesome for them to get McDavid. I think it was actually quite astute of the NHL to expand there (though I am obviously far from an expert). I think that market could really take off with some sustained success.

Philly would be outstanding too, just to see him and Crosby go against each other in a rivalry like that for years to come.

Not Arizona. Ugh.

I went with New Jersey. Reason being, I kinda like them.. always loved the jerseys! Those fans deserve something to cheer for.

Can trades in the NHL between two teams still contain pure cash? Button had his draft rankings today and someone commented on a team offering a boatload of cash. Someone like the maple leafs offering 50 or 100 million? In the long term, you'd probably generate double that amount from McDavid

McDavid would most certainly help build support for whomever he goes to. Florida would be a great team to go to, and they are committed to becoming better. Same goes for Columbus, or Carolina.

Arizona would probably be the very best spot for him to land in. The NHL is committed to being there, the citizens of Glendale have sure paid a lot of taxes in keeping the Coyotes there (rightly or wrongly). The only western team that I would want him to go to.

No way to Edmonton - they have had enough 1st overalls, and hey - I hate them. I would rather have Edmonton over Toronto though - the amount of news that we get pounded down our throats out of Toronto is sickening. I don't want to give them more stories to write about.

Columbus would be ideal. Fanbase that has shown loads of support. A good organization from management down. Good veterans to help ease him into the rigors of the NHL. A team I don't hate either. Florida would be 2nd, Carolina 3rd.

Toronto or Columbus for me.

Toronto... Home town boy, in a big market.
Columbus... Have had faithful fans that deserve this.

No Edmonton , Arizona, or Florida.

I'd much rather watch an intense heated rivalry battle of Alberta. Then the crap show they got going on up there now. Making the oilers more competitive would help the Flames be more competitive themselves.

I like seeing Edmonton being the joke of the league as much as the next guy but I'd much rather the BOA being a battle for the best. I'd much rather the Flames become the best by playing top competition then the sh!# show oil are now. Just my opinion.

Wouldn't mind seeing him get drafted by Edmonton and pull a Lindros.

I know he wouldn't do it, but would make me chuckle.
