Boston is too quick and too strong on the puck for the Flames tonight. Flames gotta find a way to make some open ice for themselves.

Have to ask if Hrudey could see that play coming why couldn't the coaches? Someone needs to tell the player to cut it out with the drop passes.

What's the point of tipping/dumping it in deep if you're not gonna win the race to the freaking puck?

So far this is looking like one of those games where a possession based hockey team is really going to kick the crap out of us.
...time to battle boys. They have to control the puck more if they're going to tie this up.

It wasn't a coach that made that pass, it was Brodie. He has had too many giveaways lately in my opinion. Needs to pick up his play and make smarter decisions.

Not worried at all. But for now, sloppy passes in our defensive zone isn't getting us anywhere.

Ridiculous really... That play was 100% on Brodie. Awful decision on that play.

This team isn't the most skilled. It has to be the hardest working. Brodie made a mistake, Raymond didn't work hard. Both are unfortunate. I'm in no way blaming Raymond more than Brodie, calm down.

There we go boys, best shift so far from Colborne and Stajan. Get gritty, win the puck battles.

Looking better now. Did Ramo take a hit on that last Bruins possession?

So Colborne and Bouma hold the puck in a tight cycle for 30 seconds there, but only manage one shot (if ot even counted). Corsi would say that's weak, right?

Nice work by Stajan and Colborne. I love Joe's strength on the puck.

That drop pass can be highly effective and is used by a pile of teams in the NHL while on the PP. With that being said, that was terrible execution and not a great time to attempt that pass. Mistakes happen, regroup and get it back.

Agreed but that's the coaches job to reign that stuff in. You don't want to curtail creativity but the Flames make so many blind passes and all these back passes would make Iginla and Tanguay blush.
