Hopefully Engelland can sit. He's been junk.

Pumped for this! Great time to have more young guys come up and rejuvenate our team again.

I would have to assume since they called up Wotherspoon instead of Potter that they actually mean to play him. If not I would be disappointed. Hopefully he proves himself a step above Smid/Engelland and forces the Flames to send down Diaz when Smid gets healthy.

Hope they move Hiller. Ramo has been as good and more consistent, not to mention younger and cheaper

Been waiting for T-spoon time all season long! He better play!

Probably my favorite prospect outside of Poirier.

What's Hartley's nickname for him?

Wodderspoon I can already imagine, but 1-2 syllable nickname. Is there one?

More consistent? That's not true outside of your you own personal preference.

Ramo: .905 S% 2.67GAA 16 gp 8W 5L

Hiller: .911 S% 2.48 GAA 29 gp 13W 13L

Hillers been more consistent all season long. Also has earned more starts. And Now Ortio is taking over, Ramo is a UFA and I think Treliving will instinctively go with the guy he signed over Ramo.

Agreed, it would be odd to me to bring him up ahead of the weekend off to sit in press box.

I thought Wotherspoon was awesome last year. Loved the slap pass to Monahan for a goal. More please.

Younger and cheaper, yes. More consistent? He had a great stretch of Ws in November including 2 shutouts, but even then there were some sub .900 games. He hasn't been consistent at all this year. He won 2, lost 3, won 6 (the November stretch), then lost 4 in a row. He's been yanked twice to Hiller's none. His GAA is 2.65, but he's had 7 games over 3.00 and a couple over 7. HIs save% is only .904,

I forgot (well not forgot but didn't think about it) about the Ortio support. Wotherspoon and him work very well together. Not that Ortio is a difficult Goalie as you've seen, but him and Wotherspoon seem to have this other level they operate on.

I'm sure he's happy to have him back.

When Potter was called up, he didn't play a game and Diaz drew in for all of them, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens for Wotherspoon too.

if you are not following the Practice thread, Hartley says Wotherspoon is doubtful for the Ducks and Diaz draws in for Smid.

We'll have to see if Broissoitt goes late bloomer Giguere or Anderson style, if not that trade might rank up there with the Kipper deal some day.

Here is an article from 12 days ago on Wotherspoon becoming a 2-way defenceman. The Flames have asked him to work on developing his offence. Sorry if this was posted somewhere else, I didn't see it.
