I didn't think it was a penalty, but they shouldn't be allowed to pick it up like that.
It wasn't shielding as he didn't try to shield until after the ball hit him, pure underthrow there. Grabbing going both ways. Let them play

Press the rewind button and look at the hands to the face and he grabbed him as well.

NFL can't be losing Cowboys-Packers so yeah makes a ton of sense. Clear faceguard, absolutely horrible. And Dez should get a penalty for running out on the field but whatever.

I guess they listened to the fans? The nfl called the ref and told them to let the cowboys win? That just looks pure dishonest after announcing it.

Really ? He did not even look back at the ball. It was a penalty, sorry.
Pathetic officiating, what a joke.

Agreed with the bolded, but I still think it was as much offensive PI as it was defensive.

I edited my earlier post. He didn't try and shield until after the ball hit him, that's just an underthrow isn't it?

^^Of course you do, you're a Cowboys fan. Of course is it worth it to see them lose 45-10 to Green Bay?

Seems my pro-cowboys blinders may be less thick than your anti-Cowboys blinders.

I'm okay with that pick up. Probably should have been a call both ways.

No, a clear penalty is a clear penalty. An announced clear penalty taken back? Sorry, NFL cam't lose it's marquee matchup of the playoffs, even if it's ugly.

And by the way Dez not being flagged cost the Lions a first down too. Goodell is the new David Stern.

Did you actually do a rewind and look again? The offensive player had his hands in his face, and pushed off. IMO it was a penalty both ways if anything.

Pass interference or not (and it 100% is), Dez should get unsportsmanlike and it's a first down anyway. This will be a fun week for the NFL.

Dez should have been flagged, but no, not 100% PI, the refs didn't even call it!

C'mon dude. I think it's more the fact they picked it up. If they didn't call it at all, it would have probably considered a mutual "battle". The Lions receiver had his fingers on the cowboy defender's grill.
