So go Slovakia? Nah screw it, I think the Canadians need a challenge in the Semis. Go Czechs!

I think Demko and Fucale are very similar in that they made their hype off of being good enough behind dominant offensive teams. I wouldn't be shocked at all if neither of them become much at the pro level.

I find it frustrating that, so often, a dive is what determines the outcome of a game.
Pretty hard to discourage players from doing it, when more often than not, they get a PP out of it.
Sweden probably would have won regardless, but ultimately the penalty call on the embellishment was the difference.

Which penalty are you referring to?
If it's the one Miller and Ferraro kept going on about as a weak crosschecking call, the call was actually high sticking, and was legitimate - the Finn clipped the Swede high just before shoving him from behind.
Game Log here.

Wow, 2-0 for the Slovaks! just under 5 to go in the game and the Czechs have nothing gong their way. Their PP has struggled, outlet passes are weak.

The Slovaks are going to be a tougher test in the semis than they were in the preliminary round. Their belief has been growing all tournament.

The flag going around the crowd was blocking the view from the regular camera so they had to cut to the view from the top of the CN Tower.

This is also my gut instinct about both of these prospects. I was never all that impressed by Demko at BC during his draft year, and Fucale had the easiest job in the world in Halifax when Drouin, Mackinnon et al were bossing games for him in the Q.

Haha, I made a similar joke at home.
Decent play so far; both goalies have made good saves.

Sorenson is going to be a pain in the arse tonight. That was a massive save on Reinhart.

Lots of puck-watching by the Danes on that one.
Great pass.

#NHLFlames' Tod Button told me earlier today he was most impressed with Denmark G Georg Sorensen at this year's #WJC2015. Can see why.
