Rather than those few complaining that McGrattan is wasting a roster spot on the team, how about we give him a hand on what he does off the ice?

We've been doing that for an entire year. Enough already. This is a business and he's being paid to perform on the ice. As nice of a guy he is, he's going to continue pumping his off-ice activities as much as he can. Wouldn't you if you were relying on an NHL paycheck??

Sean Monahan probably benefited from being Brian's buddy last year, but the kid is going to be a superstar and really doesn't need a million dollar poker buddy on plane rides anymore.

This post makes it seem like you didn't actually watch that video. No matter what happens with Brian/Calgary going forward, you can't take away the fact that he is a 100 % a good person and I don't think he was using Sean so he can continue to take a paycheck from the team, I just think he is part of the glue that has made this team so tight the last two years.

Seriously check out that video, very emotional and happy at the same time.

I love Brian McGrattan.
He is an outstanding individual and obviously an excellent teammate.
I hope he stays with the Flames. I just don't care to see him on the ice.
