Well except for SN's version of "HD".

GFG.
Love Byron. He should have about 20 goals by now, considering how snake-bitten he was for the first few games of the season. He seems to get at least a breakaway per game. It's been really nice to see him rewarded for all the effort.

After the excitement of my first home game on Thursday, I get to go again to tonight's game.

If anyone is there I think I maybe (fingers crossed) getting the chance to ride the zamboni between periods 2 & 3, give me a wave as I will be trying to film it as I go round.

I think Byron's game really started to take shape last year, and it would have been a big loss for the Flames if another team had picked him up last summer.

I wish Burke would quit talking about getting bigger, when it's guys like Byron, Gaudreau and Hudler that provide a large part of our offensive potential.

I feel like Treliving is a little less "old school" than Burke. I'm sure he recognizes that a large majority of our offence has come from the likes of Byron/Hudler/Gaudreau, despite their size. It's great if you have big guys who are also skilled, but you don't just replace the high skilled smaller guys with big plugs, just for the sake of having beef in the lineup. I'm sure given our early success, Treliving isn't looking to deal any of our smaller players.

Ya but on the other hand I bet in a 7 game series with LA these guys' get up and go drops a few notches. Below average sized teams don't win cups

Maybe not, but by and large, "average" sized teams win it all the time.

For me it's getting bigger with guys who have the skill to play with Byron etc and offer some protection. It isn't about getting rid of these guys.

I have really liked ferland so far... Thought he picked up right where he left off before his injury. That's the kind of size and skill we need to compliment guys like gaudreau, Byron, and hudler. Mix their skill with poirier, Monahan, ferland, smith (I hope), and the flames are in a great spot.

I like Bob Cole, but he seemed to be a little bored when he called a Flames game earlier this season. IMO the excitement is what makes up for his mistakes.

Hopefully we get the Saturday night special tonite - Flames beat the Devils 4-1 and Blackhawks beat the Oilers 4-1.

I'm calling a 3-1 with goals from Huds, Bouma, and Sven finally breaking the goose egg.

yeah definitely. I wish they would have given him a full season in the A to develop more. His development got pushed back when his confidence took a shot last season. They should have given him a year there to get his confidence back.

For those not following the Adirondack Flames thread - they won their 8th straight tonite 2-1 and set a franchise record with 47 SOG.
